Maravia Bonaire
Welcome to Maravia!
The villa was built in 1993 and in recent years has become known mainly under the name “Villa Alcyone” or “Jack's Villa”.
In 2024 we bought the villa and renamed it “Maravia”.
The villa is quietly situated in the Sabal Palm district. Just a few minutes from the Caribbean Sea, Kralendijk, supermarkets, airport and the road to Sorobon (surfing).
For over 20 years it has been a small and quiet holiday complex with 4 apartments, situated in a large tropical garden with swimming pool.
All apartments have 1 bedroom (incl. air conditioning), bathroom and a kitchen/living area.
Each apartment has its own terrace and the garden also offers additional options for sitting outside.
The perfect place to relax after a beautiful day on the island.
We will continue Jack's work with love and in the coming period we will look at how we can make Maravia future-proof.

Who are we?
We are Misja, Natalie and Jasper. All in our early 50s.
Our friendship goes back almost 20 years, once started by our daughters playing together. In the past years, besides the contact in daily life, we have spent many holidays together. Misja's family has 3 children and Jasper & Natalie's family has 2. In the meantime, all 5 children are towards adulthood.
The love for the Caribbean has existed since a distant past. Travels in recent years to the ABC islands, Sint Maarten, Tobago and South America have further strengthened that. The importance of eating together, the pace, enjoying the outdoors and the wind in our hair (or what is left of it), still make us very happy every time.
An Achterhoeker in the tropics. Touched by Aruba, where I spent an important part of my puberty in the 80s (of the previous century…). After my children and Natalie, friends and family, sports and music are the most important things in my life. I do running, football, golf and fitness. For over 25 years I have had great jobs at great companies in the Netherlands. Now I look forward to receiving guests, maintaining the garden, snorkeling unnecessarily, diving and ensuring a wonderful stay for all our guests on Bonaire. Hope to see you at Maravia!

I am Misja: mother, widow. I live and work in Zoetermeer. Despite (and perhaps also because of) a number of sad events, I have a positive and open view of life. Life is too short not to be lived! I am not a sit-in and I do not shy away from a challenge. That is why I am very much looking forward to our joint adventure on Bonaire. The atmosphere, the people and the (underwater) nature have stolen my heart. I would like to share this with you. Let's make something beautiful out of it together!

Hello! I am Natalie. Born in Brazil, but have been living in the Netherlands for many years. My children were born there, live there with great pleasure and are now adults. I love to travel and am always looking for the most beautiful places. That is how we landed on Bonaire a few years ago and have now been able to make it our second home. I hope that many people will come and enjoy this beautiful island with us and be welcome in our relaxed holiday apartments!

The apartment is well located especially when you go diving. The garden is very nice with a nice pool. The beds sleep well and there is air conditioning, wonderful.

We had a great holiday and enjoyed the beautiful Airbnb.
Just having breakfast in the morning, surrounded by all kinds of chirping birds in the garden.
We highly recommend this stay and if the opportunity arises we will definitely return.

The apartments are fantastic. The breeze blows through nicely. It was very clean, neat and tidy. I really appreciated the king size bed. The gardens and pool are so peaceful, it is your own back garden. For diving equipment there are rinse tanks and drying racks. I highly recommend staying here.

We had a lovely stay at this cosy place. The saltwater pool was great and little amenities like the kettle were so nice. We used earplugs because the neighbour dogs were a bit barky. Overall a great place!
